What Is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a medical esthetic procedure that removes the outermost layer of skin made up of dead skin cells while stimulating new collagen and new skin cell growth. As collagen production decreases with age, skin can begin to appear lax and uneven in texture. By exfoliating the surface layer, microdermabrasion immediately restores a fresher and more vibrant appearance.
Small facial wrinkles, fine lines, sun damage, age spots, and skin pores can improve with one or more treatments. It can also be performed on the neck, décolleté, hands, and stretch marks.
Microdermabrasion Sessions & Results
Appointments range from 45–60 minutes and are designed to fit easily into your schedule. A properly delivered treatment has no downtime. For best results, a series of sessions spaced several weeks apart may be recommended. The number of treatments required varies based on skin type and the specific concerns being addressed. Maintenance treatments may help preserve results.
Although suitable for most skin types and colors, individuals with very sensitive skin, active acne, or certain skin conditions may need to explore other options after consultation.
