Microneedling

Collagen induction therapy used to improve acne scars, fine lines, pigmentation, and uneven skin texture.

What Is Microneedling?

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive procedure that uses fine needles to create controlled micro-injuries in the upper layers of the skin. These micro-channels stimulate the body’s natural wound-healing response, increasing collagen and elastin production over time.

Unlike laser treatments that rely on heat or light, microneedling works through mechanical stimulation. Professional devices can reach depths between 0.5 mm and 3 mm, allowing treatment of superficial concerns as well as deeper acne scars beneath the skin surface.

Collagen production occurs gradually, which means improvements develop over multiple sessions. Most patients require between three and six treatments for noticeable change in pore size, scarring, pigmentation, fine lines, crow’s feet, and forehead wrinkles.

Acne Scars, Wrinkles & Skin Texture Improvement

Microneedling is commonly performed to reduce the appearance of acne scars. By breaking up tethered scar tissue and stimulating new collagen formation, the skin gradually appears smoother and more even. Treatment depth is adjusted depending on scar severity.

The procedure is also used to soften fine lines and wrinkles caused by reduced collagen levels. As collagen and elastin production increases, skin appears firmer and more elastic.

For pigmentation concerns, microneedling supports cellular turnover and may improve sun damage, uneven tone, and melasma-related discoloration. Increased collagen production plays a central role in strengthening and resurfacing the skin.
