Anti-Aging Treatments
Wrinkles are a visible sign of aging. Skin aging, loss of skin moisture, and loss of tone result in the formation of wrinkles. When a more substantial loss of volume occurs in the tissues underlying the skin, folds develop, most commonly nasolabial folds and marionette lines. Changes can also appear around the mouth, including smile lines and alterations in cheek shape.
Volume loss may also occur due to fat pads shifting beneath the surface of the skin, leading to hollows under the eyes, gauntness in the lower cheek or temple area, and thinning of the lips.
Anti-Aging Treatment Options
Thermage uses radiofrequency to stimulate the body’s own collagen synthesis. Microneedling is a collagen induction therapy. Trinity treatment by Elos combines three laser procedures to target pigment, wrinkle reduction, and skin tightening in one session. Botox is used to treat larger wrinkles and folds that become more pronounced with facial muscle movement. Cosmetic fillers are used to add volume, smooth deep creases such as nasolabial folds, plump thin lips, smooth vertical lip lines, augment cheeks, fill hollows under the eyes, and restore fullness in areas affected by fat pad shifting. Combining different treatment modalities may be used depending on individual concerns.
